Weekly Crime Report: Nov. 26 to Dec. 4

Police now say a pair of attempted robberies on a recent weekend near the Bethesda Metro station are likely related:

At Woodmont Avenue and Montgomery Lane on Friday, 11/30 at 10:00 p.m.  The suspects assaulted the victim and unsuccessfully attempted to remove property.

Suspects: Three B/Ms, 25-29, 5’10”-6’.

At Hampden Lane and Wisconsin Avenue on Sunday, 12/2 at approximately 1:00 a.m.  The suspects approached the victim from behind.  The suspects assaulted the victim and unsuccessfully attempted to remove property.

Also from Friday, Nov. 30, police are still searching for the two suspects who assaulted and robbed a victim over a Craigslist sale at an apartment on Battery Lane before cruising away in a white Lincoln Towncar or Ford Crown Victoria:

A robbery occurred in the 4900 block of Battery Lane, Bethesda on Friday, 11/30 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  The suspects assaulted the victim and removed property.

Suspect: B/M, 20-26, 200-220 lbs, beard, dreadlocks; B/M, 25-30, 170-180 lbs, beard, dreadlocks;

A theft occurred at Safeway, 7625 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda on Monday, 11/26 at approximately 4:15 p.m.  The victim discovered personal property missing

A residential burglary occurred in the 7600 block of Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda on Wednesday, 11/28, at 9:15 a.m.  Unforced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 4800 block of Park Avenue, Bethesda on Thursday, 11/29 between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.  Forced entry; property taken.

A residential shed burglary occurred in the 9100 block of Quintana Drive, Bethesda overnight from Thursday, 11/29 to Friday, 11/30.  Unforced entry; property taken.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 7200 block of Selkirk Drive, Bethesda on Friday, 11/30 at approximately noon.  Forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 7500 block of Westlake Terrace, Bethesda on Friday, 11/30 between 10:15 p.m. and 10:45 p.m.  Unforced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 7800 block of Maple Ridge Road, Bethesda sometime between Friday, 11/30 and Sunday, 12/2.  Unforced entry; property taken.

A shed burglary occurred at Rock Creek Elementary School, 8330 Grubb Road, Chevy Chase sometime between Friday, 11/30 and Monday, 12/3.  Forced entry.  Nothing taken.

An aggravated assault occurred in the 5400 block of McGrath Boulevard, North Bethesda. The suspect is known to the victim.
