Give the gift that gives back

ARLINGTON, Va. – Can’t find that perfect gift for the person in your life who really doesn’t need anything?

We’ve got an alternative type of gift-giving. It’s called “Gifts That Give Hope.”

Saturday, the second “Gifts That Give Hope Arlington” holiday gift fair was held at Calvary United Methodist Church in Arlington.

But this fair is a little different. Organizer Tara Bibb says the fair features 15 non-profits. Shoppers choose the charity of their choice, make a donation and get a card in return.

The holiday gift card explains that a donation was made in honor of the person who is receiving the card for the holiday.

“You can cross off the person on your shopping list and at the same time you are helping people who truly need it,” Bibb says.

The gift fair continues online through Dec. 20.
