WASHINGTON – An assistant principal who pleaded guilty to receiving child pornography is “enormously ashamed,” and “has lost everything that he values” but passed a lie detector test showing he never sexually abused any minors.

Joshua Myers, of Warrenton, is due to be sentenced Friday in federal court in Alexandria. He was the assistant principal at Greenville Elementary School in Fauquier County, when arrested in June.

In presentencing filings, federal public defender Geremy Kamens asked Myers receive a sentence “of no more than the mandatory minimum, 60 months of imprisonment
