Montgomery County police seek witness of Silver Spring beating

WASHINGTON – Montgomery County police are looking for a witness who may have seen a male being attacked by several men with broken bottles in Silver Spring, Md.

The victim, a 22-year-old male from Rockville, was attending a party Nov. 4 on the 1400 block of Silo Way of the Good Hope area. Police say the victim and a group the victim did not know got into an argument over the victim’s beer.

The victim was then repeatedly struck in the face with broken glass bottles. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital.

Three suspects ages 17 to 20 were later arrested in connection with the assault and all are being held on bond. The suspects are believed to be associated with the street gang known as “Little R,” police say.

Police released a photo of the witness, who they believe may be able to provide information about the incident.

Anyone who recognizes the picture or has more information is asked to contact the 4th District Investigative Section at 240-773-5530.
