ZooLights makes the season bright

WASHINGTON – Christmas is still more than a month away, but that isn’t stopping the National Zoo from ramping up its annual holiday celebration.

ZooLights starts this Friday, Nov. 23., and for several nights in November, December and January, animals decked out in colorful lights will roam the zoo. Don’t worry – these animals don’t bite, they’re just bright.

In addition to seasonal lights, there will also be a carousel, model trains, tubing down the Lion/Tiger hill, rides on the National Zoo Choo-Choo and photo opportunities with Panda Claws.

ZooLights is open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 23-25, 30; Dec. 1-2, 7-9, 14-23, 26-30 and Jan. 1. Admission is free.
