Give blood and get tickets to Redskins

WASHINGTON – The Washington Redskins and the American Red Cross are hosting a series of blood drives at three area locations over the next two weeks.

To encourage local residents to participate, donors will receive one game ticket to an upcoming Redskins regular season home game. Those who show up with friends or family will receive seats next to each other at the same game.

A blood drive is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Sterling Safety Center (Patton Hall) at 46700 Middlefield Dr. in Sterling.

Another will take place on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Hospital at 1500 Forrest Glen Rd. in Silver Spring.

The last blood drive in the area will be held on Friday, Nov. 30 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Montgomery County Fairgrounds at 16 Chestnut St. in Gaithersburg.

To avoid long wait times, appointments are strongly recommended. Call 1-800-733-2767 for more information, or visit the Red Cross’ website.
