WASHINGTON – Amtrak service and several interstate bus lines in the northeast have been canceled in the northeast due to Hurricane Sandy.

Amtrak has canceled all Northeast Corridor service through Tuesday, Oct. 30.

Amtrak has canceled all Acela Express, Northeast Regional, Keystone and Shuttle services. Also Empire Service, Adirondack, Vermonter, Ethan Allen and Pennsylvanian train services are suspended, along with the overnight Auto Train, Capitol Limited, Crescent, Lake Shore Limited, Palmetto and Silver Meteor trains.

All Amtrak service from Boston south to Raleigh, North Carolina, and from the East Coast to Chicago, New Orleans and Florida. Amtrak says stations in the affected areas and along the affected routes should be considered closed

Amtrak says some trains are still running, including the Carolinian, the Silver Star

Buses

All Greyhound bus service out of Washington, D.C. and Baltimore has been suspended until further notice. Several other routes in the northeast have also been suspended. See the latest updates here

Bolt Bus has canceled service in the northeast on Monday and Tuesday.

MegaBus has canceled several bus lines in the northeast through Tuesday. See the latest updates here.

The Vamoose Bus has canceled service Monday and Tuesday.

Airports

All airlines serving Reagan National and Dulles International Airports have canceled flights until further notice. BWI Thurgood Marshall says widespread flight cancellations should be expected Tuesday.
