Bomb threat at Loudoun County HS

WASHINGTON – A bomb threat at a Loudoun County high school has been cleared after it forced an evacuation of students and staff Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to Freedom High School in South Riding after a note was found in the bathroom around 12:15 p.m. indicating a threat, says school spokesman Wayde B. Byard. No students were injured and parents have been notified, he says.

Bomb sniffing dogs from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s office swept the building and cleared the building just before 2 p.m.
