UPDATE: Montgomery County police say Nelson Smith has been found unharmed.
WASHINGTON — A Silver Alert has been issued for a 73-year-old white male. He was last heard from Friday around 11:30 a.m.
Officials say Nelson Arthur Smith was on his way from Silver Spring to visit a relative in Millersville, Md., but never arrived.
He is described as having white hair and blue eyes. He is 5-foot-10 and weighs 225 pounds. Smith drives a blue 2008 Dodge Caliber with Maryland license plates MLM345.
