Stallone: ‘Rocky’ to be rolled out as musical

WASHINGTON – Imagine “Adrian!” with a bit more vibrato.

A musical twist on the ring-based dialogue of “Rocky” will become a reality next November, when a stage-set production is expected to open in Hamburg, Germany.

The Los Angeles Times reports “Rocky” star Sylvester Stallone is co-producing the musical along with Ukranian boxing brothers Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko, and the iconic film will be recast as more of a love story between Rocky and Adrian.

And while Stallone himself won’t be boxing this time, the Times says other hits from the “Rocky” films — like “Eye of the Tiger” — will be included.
