Some may see iPhone 5 earlier than they thought

WASHINGTON – The pre-orders for the iPhone 5 came in so fast that the availability date quickly shot up to two or three weeks for many customers, but Apple is moving up that time for some customers.

Apple Insider reports that some customers have received an email saying they made a mistake and the iPhone 5 will arrive on Sept. 21, the day the new phone becomes available.

There’s no indication yet from the company that this is widespread, but customers can either keep checking their email and hoping, or check here for the latest on their order.
