Four pedestrians struck by SUV in D.C.

WASHINGTON – Four people were struck by an SUV in Columbia Heights on Wednesday, D.C. police say.

The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. in an alley on the 2900 block of 14th Street NW.

The group was standing in line for food when they were hit near the intersection of 14th Street and Columbia Road, according to witnesses. Witnesses say one of the people hit was holding a baby.

One person has been taken to the hospital with serious and non-life threatening injuries, police say. The other three victims have minor injuries, police say.

Police are interviewing the woman driving the SUV.
