WASHINGTON – The victim of a fatal hit-and-run accident on Interstate 95 Saturday morning has been identified.
Clarence Alston, 42, of D.C., was standing next to his car on the right shoulder of the highway near Lorton when he was struck by a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV. He died at the scene.
Police eventually tracked down Carol Rood-Johnson, 19, of Woodbridge in Prince George’s County later that day. She was charged with driving under the influence and felony hit- and-run, officials say.
