Use a beer to boost your WiFi strength

WASHINGTON — Poor wireless strength? Just pour a cold one.

Unfortunately this remedy doesn’t involve any drinking, necessarily.

Using just the aluminum from a can of beer, drinkers everywhere can create an antenna booster that significantly increases WiFi strength. A do-it-yourself instructional video from TVKIM.com shows it’s easy to do using just your favorite brew, a utility knife and some adhesive putty.

“With just a little work, you can boost your home WiFi by as much as two to four bars,” says the website’s Kim Komando, who describes herself as America’s Digital Goddess. “Bars as in WiFi strength, not where you go to drink.”

Oh, Kim.
