Man electrocuted in derecho dies

WASHINGTON – A 19-year-old from Fairfax County who was found unconscious after being hit by power lines in the derecho has died.

Dylan Cooper, of Falls Church, was found near downed power lines on Haycock Road on June 29. He had been on life support since.

Cooper died earlier this week. The medical examiner listed electrocution as the cause of death.
