A desire named streetcar?

WASHINGTON – Do local counties have a desire named streetcar?

Arlington and Fairfax counties are weighing a $250 million streetcar line on Columbia Pike from Baileys Crossroads to the Pentagon City Metro.

Both counties will vote next month on whether to reaffirm their 2006 support to build the line, or to seek far cheaper alternatives, like bus lines.

The Washington Post reports Columbia Pike is currently the most used bus corridor in all of Virginia.
