Police are at Wakefield High School (4901 S. Chesterfield Road) where eight recent graduates were arrested around 5:15 this morning.
Police were called after a security guard spotted individuals on the roof. Police are still searching the building.
According to police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck, this incident is similar to one last week on the second floor of the school, which resulted in vandalism. It’s unclear if there’s any damage to the building from from this morning’s incident.
The former students will likely be charged with trespassing and breaking and entering. They were taken in to speak with detectives to see if they’re also involved with last week’s vandalism.
The school has been notified and police are speaking with the principal.
