Baltimore woman arrested in store’s arson

BALTIMORE (AP) — A Baltimore woman has been arrested on charges of attempted murder and malicious burning after police say she tried to set a convenience store on fire.

Police arrested 33-year-old Aisha Warsaw after they say she tried to burn down The Lucky Corner Grocery Store using a flammable liquid and a lighter.

Charging documents say that Warsaw went to the store on Wednesday morning, started arguing with an employee and then sprayed the liquid all over the front of the store, including a counter, a plastic bag and a freezer. Police say Warsaw then lit the bag on fire and fled.

Police say the fire never became fully engulfed but did scorch the front of the store.

No attorney is listed for Warsaw in court documents.
