(AP) — In a story Nov. 5, The Associated Press reported that Wisconsin assistant athletic director of compliance Katie Smith said in a statement that, “We have exhausted every effort on Duje’s behalf to reduce the extent of the withholding, but unfortunately the rule does provide an opportunity to appeal.” The school said Thursday that it had dropped a word in the statement, and that Smith’s quote should have been, “We have exhausted every effort on Duje’s behalf to reduce the extent of the withholding, but unfortunately the rule does not provide an opportunity to appeal.”
