Fade to Black wins Aqueduct feature

NEW YORK (AP) — Fade to Black held off Flamingo Lane by a nose Wednesday in the $67,000 allowance feature for fillies and mares on the turf at Aqueduct.

Ridden by Junior Alvarado and trained by Dominic Schettino, the 3-year-old raced to her second victory in nine starts. She ran the mile in 1:40.24 and paid $8.20, $3.60 and $2.70.

Flamingo Lane returned $3.80 and $2.70, and Striking Style paid $2.70 to show.
