NCAA makes Gordon eligible for Seton Hall women

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. (AP) — The NCAA has given center Lubirdia Gordon a waiver to play basketball for Seton Hall this season.

Pirates coach Anthony Bozzella announced the decision on Monday.

Gordon of Mount Vernon, New York, played for West Virginia last season and transferred to Seton Hall this summer to be closer to home.

Gordon appeared in 14 games for the Mountaineers last season, averaging 2.0 points while shooting 68.8 percent (11-for-16) from the field.

Seton Hall will face Rider in its season opener on Nov. 14.
