Clowney and Cushing out for Texans against Eagles

HOUSTON (AP) — Top overall pick Jadeveon Clowney and linebacker Brian Cushing are inactive for Houston’s game against Philadelphia.

Clowney returned last week after missing six games following arthroscopic knee surgery, but the outside linebacker missed practice this week because of an unspecified illness.

Cushing is sitting out for the second straight week because of problems with his surgically repaired left knee.

Philadelphia center Jason Kelce will start after missing the past four games following sports hernia surgery. Earl Wolff will start at safety for the Eagles in place of Nate Allen, who is inactive.
