ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — About 8.3 percent of eligible voters in Maryland have cast ballots during eight days of early voting.

The Maryland State Board of Elections posted Friday that 307,646 people voted early.

Early voting ended Thursday. Montgomery County, the state’s largest jurisdiction, had 5.6 percent of eligible voters make it to the polls. That’s the third lowest percentage of eligible voters in the state’s 24 jurisdictions.

Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, a Democrat who is running for governor, has drawn big names to urge voters to the polls, including President Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton. First lady Michelle Obama is scheduled to come to Baltimore Monday.

Republican Larry Hogan also has drawn support from New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who is making his fourth stop for Hogan Sunday.
