Virginia conference focuses on affordable housing

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Nearly 800 people are expected to attend a conference on affordable housing in Norfolk.

The 2014 Virginia Governor’s Housing Conference opens at 4 p.m. Wednesday and runs through Friday at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott.

Participants include affordable housing advocates, providers and policy makers.

Gov. Terry McAuliffe is scheduled to speak Thursday at the Virginia Housing Awards Luncheon.
