Pedestrian seriously injured in hit-and-run

WASHINGTON – A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run Thursday afternoon in the Wheaton-Glenmont area.

It happened near the intersection of Centerhill and Edwin streets just before 5 p.m. Thursday when a car ran a stop sign.

The victim, is in his late teens, He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police are looking for a dark blue Nissan Sentra.
