Video captures thief climbing through Md. McDonald’s drive-thru window

WASHINGTON — Have you had your break-in today? The Howard County police said they’re looking for a woman who was caught on surveillance video climbing through a McDonald’s drive-thru window in Columbia, Maryland, earlier this month to steal food and cash. Police said the hamburglar hit the McDonald’s at 8305 Benson Drive shortly after 1 a.m. Nov. 5. Surveillance video released by police show a woman peering through the open drive-thru, then leaning over to fill up a drink cup from the soda fountain. Later, the video shows her clambering through the window and retrieving boxes of food, including one of the restaurant chains’s signature red boxes adorned with golden arches.

Police are offering up to a $500 reward for information on the suspect. If you have any information, police ask that you call Howard County police at 410-313-STOP or email HCPDcrimetips@howardcountymd.gov.
