NEW YORK (AP) — Encryption rallied to beat Royal Posse by 2 3/4 lengths Thursday in the $77,000 allowance feature at Belmont Park.
Running in the slop for the first time, Encryption got his second win in eight starts. Irad Ortiz, Jr. was aboard for trainer Kelly Breen as the 3-year-old ran a mile in 1:37.28 as the 6-5 favorite in the race originally scheduled for the turf.
Encryption paid $4.60, $3.20 and $2.60. Royal Posse returned $4 and $3.20, and Againsome paid $4.30 to show.
