NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Mets hired Kevin Long as hitting coach Thursday.

The 47-year-old Long spent the last eight seasons as the Yankees’ hitting coach.

The Mets also added Dustin Clarke as major league strength and conditioning coach. He spent the past season with the team’s Las Vegas affiliate in the Pacific Coast League.
