K-State forward Karapetyan decides to transfer

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) — Kansas State forward Jack Karapetyan has decided to transfer after playing in just six games during his freshman season last year because of a foot injury.

Wildcats coach Bruce Weber announced the decision in a brief statement Monday. Karapetyan has not said where he intends to resume his playing career.

Karapetyan played just minutes as a freshman, scoring his first points on a field goal against Central Arkansas on Dec. 1. He hurt his foot soon after and missed the rest of the season.

He received a medical hardship waiver, which means he still has his full eligibility.
