Late kick lifts Ball St. over Cent Michigan 32-29

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) — Scott Secor made four field goals, including a 55-yarder with 17 seconds left, to lift Ball State over Central Michigan 32-29 on Saturday.

Down 26-14 at halftime, Central Michigan tied it at 29 when Cooper Rush completed a play-action pass to Titus Davis for an 8-yard touchdown with 2:22 to play.

Ball State (2-5, 1-2 Mid-American) answered on its next series. KeVonn Mabon caught a key 9-yard pass from Jack Milas on third down to extend the drive and give the Cardinals a first-down at the Central Michigan 38. Milas completed a 1-yard pass on first down, then threw two incomplete passes before Secor booted the game-winner.

Jahwan Edwards ran for 98 yards and two touchdowns for Ball State.

Rush was 20 of 32 for 245 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions to lead Central Michigan (4-4, 2-2).
