Kacsor, Dayton too much for Morehead State, 41-7

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Connor Kacsor ran for 232 yards and four touchdowns, three over 50 yards, and Dayton beat Morehead State 41-7 on Saturday.

Kacsor, who came in as the leading rusher in the Pioneer Football League, scored Dayton’s first three touchdowns on runs of 52, 11 and 63 yards. His day was over after rushing 61 yards for a touchdown 45 seconds into the third quarter. He carried the ball just 10 times. The three long touchdown runs were the first over 50 yards this season for the Flyers (5-1, 3-0).

The Flyers rolled to their fourth consecutive victory with 514 yards offense, 443 on the ground, including a fourth-quarter, 66-yard touchdown run by Kyle Sess, a converted quarterback playing his first game as a running back. Jack Adams also ran for a score.

The Eagles (2-5, 1-3), who have lost three straight, scored on Austin Gahafer’s 4-yard pass to Jake Raymond.
