PSG striker Ibrahimovic still out with heel injury

PARIS (AP) — Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic still has not recovered from a heel injury and will miss Friday’s trip to Lens.

Ibrahimovic has sat out PSG’s past four league games and did not play in Sweden’s recent European Championship qualifiers against Russia and Liechtenstein.

Coach Laurent Blanc said Thursday that “his injury is healing well, but not enough for him to come back into the squad.”

On a brighter note for third-place PSG, which has won three and drawn six league games so far, captain Thiago Silva is fit again after more than two months out with a hamstring injury.

However, Blanc is not sure whether the center half “will be a substitute or whether he will start” against Lens.

PSG is seven points behind league leader Marseille.
