Air Force to conduct night flying training in Va.

HAMPTON, Va. (AP) — The Air Force says it will conduct night flying exercises in southeastern Virginia.

The Air Force says planes from the 1st Fighter Wing and the 192nd Fighter Wing will conduct the exercises Thursday through Saturday.

Both fighter wings are based at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton. They fly the F-22 Raptor.

The Air Force says the pilots need night flying to meet their training and proficiency requirements.
