Beltway, I-95 lanes reopen after pair of tractor-trailer crashes

WASHINGTON — Two different tractor-trailer crashes caused lanes to close on the Capital Beltway as well as Interstate 95 Wednesday morning.

A crash involving a tractor-trailer caused all lanes to close on the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway in Maryland Wednesday morning.

All lanes of the Inner Loop after the Interstate 270 spur reopened at about 6:30 a.m. after a tractor-trailer ran into a guard rail.

A hazmat team was on the scene for a fuel spill.

Officials have not released any additional details about the crash at this time.

In Howard County, a tractor-trailer overturned on southbound I-95 after Route 216 (#35). All lanes were blocked because of the crash.

All lanes of I-95 reopened by 7:40 a.m.
