Lions hold Johnson, Bush out with ankle injuries

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Wide receiver Calvin Johnson and running back Reggie Bush are inactive for Detroit’s game at Minnesota.

Johnson and Bush are out for the first time this season, both with ankle injuries. Corey Fuller and Joique Bell will start in their places. Also inactive for the Lions: tight end Joseph Fauria, linebacker Travis Lewis, quarterback Kellen Moore, defensive end Larry Webster and offensive tackle Garrett Reynolds.

The Vikings will keep linebacker Chad Greenway out for a third straight game due to broken ribs, with Gerald Hodges starting instead. Safety Harrison Smith is in the lineup despite an ankle he sprained in the previous game. Also inactive: fullback Zach Line, linebacker Brandon Watts, defensive end Scott Crichton and guards David Yankey and Austin Wentworth.
