Knapke leads Bowling Green past Ohio, 31-13

ATHENS, Ohio (AP) — James Knapke threw for 260 yards and two touchdowns to lead Bowling Green to a 31-13 victory over Ohio on Saturday.

On the Falcons’ opening drive, Knapke pumped right before dumping it to Travis Greene. Greene ran to the left sideline, broke a tackle and spun out of another for a 23-yard score. Andre Givens ran for a 2-yard touchdown, and Knapke found Ryan Burbrink with an 8-yard TD strike to give Bowling Green a 21-6 halftime lead.

Greene cut left and ran untouched for a 30-yard touchdown to stretch the Falcons’ (5-2, 3-0 Mid-American Conference) lead to 28-6 late in the third quarter.

Josiah Yazdani kicked field goals of 25 and 37 in the first half, and Tim Edmond punched it in from 2 yards for the Bobcats. JD Sprague was 27 of 56 for 325 yards to lead Ohio (3-4, 1-2).
