Bell passes Jacksonville past Morehead State 45-26

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) — Kade Bell passed for 441 yards and six touchdowns, both career highs, and Jacksonville rolled to its fifth consecutive win on Saturday, 45-26 over Morehead State.

Bell completed 26 of 42 passes with one interception, throwing two of his touchdown passes to Andy Jones, who had 134 yards receiving. Bell had only 32 yards passing and no scores after the first quarter when Morehead State (2-4, 1-2 Pioneer) took its only lead at 3-0. Bell then threw three touchdown passes in the second quarter and the Dolphins led 21-6 at halftime.

Jacksonville (5-1, 4-0), on a five-game winning streak, has won the last nine meetings with the Eagles.

Morehead State came into the game second in the Pioneer League in total offense behind Jacksonville and first in passing offense. But the Dolphins finished with a 527-360 advantage in total offense. The Eagles threw for only 144 yards and gave up three interceptions.
