Delaware State beats Norfolk State in OT, 13-10

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Davon Moore intercepted a pass in the end zone, setting up the drive that ended in a game-winning 43-yard field goal, and Delaware State beat Norfolk State 13-10 in overtime on Saturday.

Norfolk State (2-5, 2-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) went up 10-0 in the first half after Darius Wilson returned a punt 80 yards for a touchdown. After going three-and-out at the start of the third quarter, the Spartans’ punt was blocked and Terrick Colston returned it 3 yards for a Delaware State (2-5, 2-1) touchdown.

With just 1:20 left in regulation Marlon Kelly fumbled and Norfolk State recovered. Cameron Marouf’s 29-yard field goal attempt was blocked by Moore with 14 seconds left to send it to overtime.

The Spartans started at the Delaware State 25 and were on second-and-goal when Tyler Clark’s pass was intercepted by Moore. Mitchell Ward’s 43-yard field goal ended the game.
