Navy pilot in Va. faces additional charges

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — A Navy pilot charged with having an online relationship with young girls is facing additional charges.

Thirty-one-year-old Daniel Harris pleaded not guilty Tuesday in federal court in Norfolk to multiple counts of enticing minors to engage in sexual activity, child pornography and obstruction of justice. A Feb. 17 trial date was set.

Media outlets report prosecutors have identified nine young girls allegedly contacted by Harris online to send him nude photos and videos. Authorities had known of four alleged victims when Harris was arrested in April. The obstruction of justice charge accuses Harris of having someone write a letter saying another person committed the acts.

Harris says police coerced him into a confession.
