Patriots-Bills moves to Fox under ‘cross-flexing’

NEW YORK (AP) — An AFC East showdown will air on Fox as part of the NFL’s new “cross-flexing.”

The league said Sunday that the Oct. 12 game between the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills will be on Fox instead of CBS, which owns the AFC package. The policy change in the current TV rights agreement aims to gain bigger audiences for appealing games.

Fox owns the NFC package.

The NFL also says the Oct. 12 matchup between the Chicago Bears and Atlanta Falcons will shift from a 1 p.m. start to 4:25 p.m.
