Gas leak prompts brief closure of National Zoo

WASHINGTON (AP) — The National Zoo in Washington says it’s reopening after a gas leak in an administrative building prompted a brief closure.

The zoo says no animals were affected by the incident Friday morning.

The attraction closed at about 10:30 a.m. and gradually reopened, starting with vehicle traffic.

The zoo says all vehicle and pedestrian entrances are reopening by noon.
