BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore police say they have seized 12 kilograms of heroin and $825,000 in what they are calling an incredible drug bust.

Police Commissioner Anthony Batts announced the seizure and an arrest at a news conference Friday morning.

Police say the bust stems from the Operation Ceasefire program announced in February by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. The program encourages community members to work with police to confront criminals.
