Pedestrian killed near Baltimore’s new casino

BALTIMORE (AP) — A pedestrian who was hit by a car near the new Horseshoe Casino in south Baltimore has died of his injuries.

Baltimore City police say the man was hit shortly before 5 a.m. and was taken to the Shock Trauma Center. It was unclear whether he was in a crosswalk.

His name and age were not immediately released.

Police say the driver of the car that hit the man remained at the scene. The incident is under investigation.
