2 charged in fatal shootings of 2 men in Baltimore

BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore police have charged two alleged gang members with gunning down a member of a rival gang and a second man who was an uninvolved bystander.

Officers charged 25-year-old Antwon Morton and 28-year-old Samuel Rogers with murder on Tuesday. They are accused of killing 20-year-old Christopher Camphor and 25-year-old Brandon Finney on Sunday night.

Police say Morton and Rogers are members of the Black Guerilla Family gang and Camphor was a member of a rival gang, the Bloods. Officers say Camphor was targeted because of an earlier dispute.

Authorities say Finney, a surgical support technician at Shock Trauma, was waiting for a bus near Lexington Market when Camphor was shot. Police say he was an uninvolved bystander and was used as a human shield when the shooting erupted.
