Bucs RB Doug Martin inactive against Rams

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Tampa Bay running back Doug Martin is sitting out Sunday’s game against St. Louis because of a knee injury.

Buccaneers defensive end Michael Johnson also is inactive for the Bucs with an ankle injury. Martin was limited in practice last week and had been listed as questionable.

Rams quarterback Shaun Hill, limited in practice with a thigh injury, is active but there was no announcement on whether he will play. Third-stringer Austin Davis could get the start.

Tampa Bay’s other inactives are cornerback Rashaan Melvin, tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins and offensive linemen Kevin Pamphile, Rishaw Johnson and Kadeem Edwards.

Cornerback Trumaine Johnson, defensive back Lamarcus Joyner, running backs Tre Mason and Trey Watts, guard/center Barrett Jones, defensive tackle Matt Conrath and tight end Alex Bayer are inactive for St. Louis.
