Bulaga out for Packers; Milliner active for Jets

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Packers right tackle Bryan Bulaga will miss Sunday’s game against the New York Jets with a left knee injury.

Bulaga was listed as questionable coming into the home opener after being limited in practice this week. The fifth-year veteran will be replaced by Derek Sherrod, who will make his first NFL start.

An injury to the same knee in the 2013 preseason knocked Bulaga out last year. Then, Bulaga hurt the knee in the first half of the Packers’ loss to Seattle on Sept. 4.

Sherrod allowed two sacks after replacing Bulaga.

For the Jets, Dee Milliner was active and expected to make his season debut to bolster a secondary preparing to face quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Darrin Walls will still start for Milliner at cornerback.

The only other notable inactive for either team was Packers inside linebacker Brad Jones, who was declared out for the game on Friday with a quad injury. Jamari Lattimore will start in his place.
