BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is in the hospital after she was taken there by ambulance from the city’s Star-Spangled Banner celebration.

The mayor’s office says Rawlings-Blake was taken to the hospital Saturday night for shortness of breath and chest pains. Spokeswoman Caron Brace says Rawlings-Blake was in good spirits and resting comfortably Sunday afternoon.

Doctors continued to run tests Sunday and kept the mayor in the hospital. Brace says the staff is hopeful she will be discharged from the hospital later Sunday.

The celebration of the Star-Spangled Banner’s 200th anniversary went on as planned Saturday evening with speeches by Vice President Joe Biden and Rep. Nancy Pelosi.
