Revolution score 2 quick goals, beat Impact 2-1

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Kelyn Rowe and Lee Nguyen scored back-to-back in a 2-minute span to help the New England Revolution rally for a 2-1 over the Montreal Impact on Saturday night.

Nguyen scored the second goal on a short chip shot in the 25th minute to give the Revolution (13-12-3) the lead for good. Charlie Davies flicked a header forward off Jermane Jones’ chip to set up Nguyen’s 13th goal of the season.

Rowe leveled the score 2 minutes earlier from long distance after he blocked Wandrille Lefevre’s clearance attempt with a nice first touch.

Calum Mallace opened the scoring for the Impact (5-16-6) in the 13th minute. Defender Andrew Farrell slipped to the ground, and Jack McInerney raced past him to get the ball to Mallace for an easy finish.
