Grayson leads Colorado State past UC Davis 49-21

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Garrett Grayson threw four touchdown passes in the first half and Colorado State beat UC Davis 49-21 on Saturday.

Grayson was 22 of 31 and finished with 425 passing yards for Colorado State (2-1). He threw a 45-yard score to Charles Lovett three minutes into the game, one of three touchdown passes in the opening period. Grayson previously threw for a career-best 434 yards in a 37-24 loss to Boise State last week.

Rashard Higgins caught seven passes for 147 yards and two scores, including a 52-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter to give Colorado State a 28-7 lead.

After London Lacy threw an early touchdown pass to Mark Martindale, UC Davis (1-2) was held scoreless until the fourth quarter. Colton Silveria ran for 97 yards and scored a touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
