Military-style jet visiting DC-area airport

ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — Officials are alerting the public that a military-style fighter jet aircraft will fly into Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport this weekend.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority says the jet is scheduled to land Saturday at around noon. Officials say the jet is being flown to the airport by a private company for marketing purposes and that it won’t have any weaponry attached while in flight.

Officials say operations at Reagan National are not expected to be impacted by the airplane’s presence. It’s expected to take off from the airport on Sept. 19. No public viewing events are planned.
